Clairview Radio Weekend.

Well I started sorting out gear i want to get rid of at Clairview radio weekend this year

it is a great weekend with the auction on the Saturday night where a lot of spare

radio gear get's sold also computer's (old one's) and bit's of computer gear and

I have a lot of gear to go up there this year.

Well part two of EMCOMM training what a joke and a BIG waste of

money if your not a local from the Bundaberg area don't waste

your time doing it (more so if you come from a small town) with

only one or two amateur's in it then you don't have a chance

of passing the course and getting a certificate and the course

is not even worth doing.

Well i arrived home from Bundaberg last Sunday night after doing

part two of the EMCOMM'S Course and at the moment I would not

recommend doing it to any one at the moment due to one or two

thing's that happened down there last weekend but i might change

my mind about it but will see in about five week's if i do or not.

I am in Bundaberg at the moment for part two of the EMCOMMS course

and drive home to Mount Morgan tomorrow (Sunday) night.

I started my EMCOMM training in Bundaberg last weekend and had a

great time the course is a WIA sponsored Emergency Communications

Operator Training Course the last part of the course is in March and

I will be driving down to Bundaberg for it.

Backpack Radio

Hi Everyone, I have been busy setting up my portable backpack radio

with my icom ic-706 mk2 (see my backpack photo in the photo part of

this web site) Maree and I are going camping this weekend at the top

of the Mount Morgan Range and i am taking VHF, UHF and HF with me

so i will see how many contact's i get for the weekend.

Well i rejoined the Wireless Institute of Australia on the 6/1/11 to do an

emergency communication's course as i could not do the course

unless i was a member of the WIA , i have not been a member for

a few year's so i will see how the 12 month's go as to if i stay a

member after 12 month's.

Mast Accident.

The other day my 80 mx dipole rope broke at the top of my 30 foot mast

so i put a ladder up the side of the mast and climbed it to put a new rope

though the mast pully but only got halfway though the job when the

ground gave way and the mast and i both hit the road beside my house

i have just put some photo's of the accident on the photo page of

Bridge Structural Inspection Report

I have just scaned the bridge structural inspection report on the web site

on the photo page it makes good reading will be good to see what the

Rockhampton City Council does about the bridge so check out the doc's

on the photo page of this site.

Bridge Public Meeting 31/10/10

I went to the 12pm midday public meeting about the tipperary suspension bridge

the rockhampton mayor was there and ended up walking out on the meeting

there were a lot of people there with a lot of question's and not too many answer's

i now have a copy of the structural inspection report so if anyone want's a copy
